Grilled Wild Alaskan Salmon Burgers Recipe

Looking for a grilling alternative to the same old burger? This salmon burgers recipe offers a healthy twist on a timeless classic.

Makes 4 Servings

Ingredients
One 14 3/4-ounce can of wild Alaskan Salmon
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
3/4 cup dried bread crumbs
1/2 cup sliced green onions
Two omega-3-enriched eggs

Directions
Drain and flake the salmon.

Combine the lemon juice with the mustard, then blend this mixture with the flaked salmon, bread crumbs, and green onions. Mix in the eggs until well blended, and form the mixture into 4 patties (chilling in the fridge for an hour will help them hold their shape).

Cook on a lightly oiled grill or saute in a skillet until golden brown on both sides. Serve each burger on a whole wheat bun with lettuce, tomato slices, and condiments as desired.

Why We Love It
These burgers are delicious, and because a lot of the ingredients are in everyone’s refrigerator or pantry, they can usually be whipped up on a moment’s notice. We like to eat them with a combo of light mayonnaise and Sriracha, for a creamy zesty edge. Just mix 1/4 cup light mayo with 1 tablespoon of Sriracha and 1 chopped green onion. You’ll thank us for that topping!
