Description
We love this blueberry hibiscus tea from Rishi. Not only does it contain one of our favorite SuperFoods, the blueberry, but also schizandra berry, currants, and elderberries—all SuperFruits in their own right. This makes for an antioxidant packed beverage with a lot of flavor. Blueberries, and berries in general, have anti-cancer properties, owing to their phytonutrient profile—particularly the anthocyanins that give purple, blue, and black berries their colorful hue.
This tea has the added bonus of containing hibiscus. Hibiscus tea has shown great promise in its ability to lower blood pressure. In fact, in one study, hibiscus tea was able to lower blood pressure as much as the leading oral drug—pretty impressive! If you’ve got high blood pressure, we recommend drinking one to two cups of this delicious tea per day. Think of it as food as medicine.
This tea is great served hot or cold, no sweetener needed, though a little honey goes a long way; especially if you find that the hibiscus is a little bitter.
