When we started testing many different brands and kinds of sauces, the Cucina Antica sauces really stood out. First, the color was so much brighter red. Also, you could see the crushed tomatoes and pieces of garlic in our sample bowls. It looked just like a sauce you would make if you had the time.
This is because Cucina Antica takes naturally sweet Italian San Marzano tomatoes and other tomatoes, cooks them with some extra virgin olive oil, fresh garlic, salt, basil, and white and black pepper so you get a garlic marinara sauce that not only looks fresh but tastes fresh too. Although this sauce is called Garlic Marinara sauce and you can see the bits of fresh garlic, it’s not too garlicky. Cucina Antica uses just the right amount for a flavorful but not garlic-dominant sauce.
Also, they don’t use any sugar. Did you know most tomato pasta sauces contain sugar. In fact, some have over 10 grams of sugar. Real sauces don’t need sugar and this sauce doesn’t have it so you can enjoy all the fresh tomato taste.

Of course, this sauce is wonderful on pasta but you can use it other ways too. You can turn it into an appetizer and dip bread into it. You can also add some water and cook rice with it or add it to minestrone soup or turkey meatloaf or turkey meatballs.
