We love poached eggs for eggs benedict and eggs florentine. But how do you poach an egg without it scattering all over the water? This is all you need to make poaching eggs easy and fun.
First, you want to poke a hole at the top of each egg with a small pin.
Next, have two pots of water on the stove: one boiling, the other simmering.
Add just a small splash of vinegar to the simmering water.
Put your eggs in the boiling water for 10 seconds only and take them out.
Crack the eggs into the simmering water and let them simmer for about 3 minutes. Spoon hot water on top of the eggs to help them cook faster.
Once they are cooked, you can spoon out the eggs and dry them off with a paper towel.
Voilà! You have perfect poached eggs!
