How to Make Almond Milk at Home–It’s Super Easy

how to make almond milk

You can save some money by buying almonds in bulk for snacking and for making your own almond milk.

All you need to do is soak your almonds in water overnight to allow them to soften up. The next day, place the almonds in a blender (without the water they soaked in), add 3 cups of fresh water per cup of almonds and blend.

You’ll notice the processed almond bits will sink to the bottom of the almond milk in the blender. Strain the almond milk to separate the milk from the ground nuts. You can use the ground nut, if you like, by adding it to a cake mix to give it an almond-flavor. Or, you can throw it out if you do not want it.

And there you have it–pure homemade almond milk. You can add vanilla extract (1/4 teaspoon per cup) and mix well, if you like. You’re also free to add sugar if you prefer your almond milk sweetened.

How easy was that? Enjoy!
