All of Seven Sundays’ mueslis are good, but we’re particularly fond of Bircher Apple Cinnamon because it’s unsweetened. When you start your day with this mix of oats, sorghum, and buckwheat, dates, currants, apples, almonds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds you do your mind and body a big favor.
Oats are a key SuperFood because they are low in calories, high in fiber and protein, and they are a rich source of magnesium, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese. The seeds and nuts add a mild crunchiness and are good source of vitamin E, potassium, magnesium. Cinnamon adds the perfect touch to this muesli.
There are 7 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber in a one-half cup serving of this muesli. Leslie, one of our SuperFoodsRxers, loves to eat this muesli all the time. She eats it with milk, on yogurt and has even used in in our SuperFoodsRx cookie recipe.
